Carnival Sensation Cabin R89 Cruise Reviews

Great for the price - Aug 2013

We had a total of 7 people and only booked my husband and myself in this room but the steward never cared that our kids had a bed made in the floor with the extra blankets. The older ones took turns sleeping in our room while our 2 yr old daughter always slept in the bed with us. My dad and the boys were actually booked into the room across the hall which was convenient. Our room was always cleaned when we returned. Everything we asked for ended up in our room while we were out. Every night we had a towel animal and chocolates on the bed along with a schedule of the next days events. This was our second cruise. We had a porthole room on our first and we were so glad we chose the oceanview room for our second. We are now booked for our third cruise and have 2 oceanview rooms. Most people say that you don't spend enough time in your room to have a window but I am the type of person who needs to see where I am...even if all I see is beautiful blue water (we woke up to a view of the ports twice)! This room being on deck 4 will eliminate most of the movement of the ship, but you are not right on the water. The bedding isn't as comfy as my bed at home, but I have never been in a hotel that compares to my mattress. The only complaint I have is that we only had one electrical outlet in our room, but that is a design flaw for a technical age! The room has a basic layout of any hotel room. When you enter the closets are on the right and the bathroom is on the left. You pass the desk with mirror and then you get to the bed which is located on the right side of the room. Room has a flat screen tv. Carnival has channels of cams of the decks and a channel with a map that tells you where you are and the speed you are traveling and how many miles you have went. If you check out pictures of any other fantasy class ship you will see a similar room as they pretty much look the same. I hope I have covered most of your questions. If you are a first time cruiser...trust me you will have fun!!
